Vendor buyback — states gallery.

First-pass mock for vendor buyback (V2 — removed from the V1 vendor spec), per Design Documentation/Phase 2/vendor-buyback-design.md. A vendor may offer to buy a newly claimed token back from the purchaser within a window after the claim, through the shared offer system. Proposed gating: a Reputation-gated Project Mastery unlock (Economy branch — threshold TBD). Configured per vendor (vendorFeePercentage) — never part of a revenue preset.

01Vendor creation · buyback configurationVendor-level settings: on/off, the window (3 minutes – 1 week after each claim), and the margin (0–20%). The fee breakdown makes the guarantee visible: beneficiary costs and the Toko share of the original claim are always recovered first, so a buyback never costs the project money; the margin is the only creator-set variable (0% = buy back at cost).

Buyback

Unlocked · Project Mastery

Offer to buy each claimed token back from its purchaser, for a limited time after the claim.

Set at the vendor level — buyback is never part of a revenue preset. Proceeds settle through the vendor's own subaccount.

02Not yet unlockedBuyback is a proposed Project Mastery unlock (Economy branch). Before the project unlocks it, the vendor-creation flow simply shows the section as unavailable with a link out to Mastery — consistent with the platform rule that unlock presentation lives in the Mastery tab, not inline requirement lists.
Buyback

Available once your project unlocks it in Project Mastery.

03Go-Live caution · buyback + no scheduled endProceeds are held in the vendor's subaccount and release only after the vendor ends and every buyback window has expired. A vendor with no scheduled end would lock funds until manually stopped — so this combination gets the amber text-heavy caution (warns, never blocks). Every vendor always retains a way to be stopped.

Review & go live

Buyback on · 3 days

This vendor has buyback on and no scheduled end. Claim proceeds stay locked in the vendor's account until you stop it yourself and the last 3-day buyback window has expired. You can go live like this — just know the funds won't release until then. Add an end date if you want proceeds on a schedule.

04Public vendor page · buyback termsCollectors see the terms before claiming: that a buyback is offered, the window, and whether it's at cost or at a margin (with the effective buyback price).

Buyback offer

Included

Change your mind after claiming? This vendor will buy your token back within 3 days of your claim, for 1.50 ICP (claim price 2.00 ICP, 10% margin). The offer appears in your wallet right after you claim.

05After the claim · the offer in the holder's walletThe buyback runs through the standard offer system: the holder sees a live offer with a countdown. Accepting settles like any offer — the token returns to the vendor's inventory and can be re-sold while the vendor is still running. For gacha-style vendors the same prompt appears right after the reveal.

Buyback offer

Little Leaf Guardians offers to buy Fern Keeper #018 back for 1.50 ICP.

Note (not UI) — exclusions & open items

Buyback is not offered on auctions (no fixed reference price) and not applicable to burn-to-claim. To reconcile when V2 is scheduled: the exact Mastery branch + Reputation threshold; whether revenue templates ever seed buyback defaults (or it stays strictly per-vendor); and writing the post-buyback destination (return to vendor inventory / resale) into vendor-system-design.md and secondary-marketplace-design.md.
