Marketplace & Launchpad — split heroes + empty states

The shared hero carousel is split into two distinct carousels: the Marketplace hero promotes featured collections (every slide routes to that collection's Public Collection Hub), and the Launchpad hero promotes drops with state-driven chrome — Live, Ending soon with a live countdown, or Coming soon with a live countdown. The two empty states are reworked from a bare character moment into a how-it-works infographic. Slide copy + templates: style-guide/carousel_heros/hero-slides.md. Sources: secondary-marketplace-design.md, launchpad.md, public-facing-collection.md.

01Marketplace hero — featured collectionsThree of the six hero masters: Neon District, Mission Patches (the RWA slot), and Pixel Valley. Every slide is a curated featured collection and its CTA routes to the Public Collection Hub (public-facing-collection.md) — the collection overview, not a pre-filtered marketplace search. No countdowns, no state pills: a featured collection isn't time-bound. The hub page itself still needs a static mock (no live data) — flagged as a follow-up.

02Launchpad hero — featured drops, state-drivenThe other three masters: Skeleton Crew (Live — claim now), Float Season (Ending soon — live countdown to close), Icebreakers (Coming soon — live countdown to open). Countdowns show days / hrs / mins / secs, tick every second, and recompute from the UTC target per launchpad.md; the Ending-soon pill applies at ≤ 2h remaining, and seasonal promos (e.g. a back-to-school sale) use the Coming-soon chrome. Rotation leads with something claimable right now. Countdowns here run from sample targets — no live data.

03Empty marketplace — how trading worksRework of the bare "nothing listed" character moment: when there are no listings (at launch, or a quiet window), the empty grid becomes an infographic that teaches the model — peer-to-peer, seller-in-control, one price for the buyer, transparent split, cancel any time. All claims per secondary-marketplace-design.md: fees come out of the price (never added on top), split order is royalties (≤3%) → marketplace fee (1–10%, set by the seller) → seller. Search/filters are omitted — there is nothing to filter yet. Merged 2026-07-22 into marketplace-states-gallery-2026-06-28.html frame 04 — the canonical copy lives there (with the hero carousel kept on top); keep the two in sync.

Nothing listed yet

The marketplace fills up as collectors list what they've claimed. While it warms up, here's how trading works — no surprises, ever.

1

Peer to peer, your terms

Every listing is collector-to-collector and non-custodial: you set the price, the currency, and how long it runs (1–14 days). The token stays in your wallet until the moment it sells.

2

You set the market fee

Sellers choose the marketplace fee — a 1–10% slider. A higher fee earns higher placement in the feed; it's the only visibility lever, and it's only ever charged on a completed sale.

3

The seller pays, not you

Buyers pay one price — nothing is added on top. The project's royalty split and the marketplace fee both come out of that price before the seller's share.

4

Change your mind? Cancel

An unsold listing can be cancelled at any time, and simply returns to your wallet when it expires. No sale, no fee — an unsold listing never costs anything.

Where one sale goes

Every completed sale settles in this order, atomically — the buyer's price is the whole pie. Segment widths illustrative.

04Empty launchpad — how drops workSame treatment for the Launchpad's quiet window: the empty gallery becomes an infographic about the drop model — every drop is its own storefront (launch sales, promos, fan-only allowlists, scheduled openings), requirements are shown up front so you know exactly what it takes to be first to own a token, and the lifecycle is countdown-driven. The hero carousel stays at the top even when nothing is live (Donna, 2026-07-22). Labels and states per launchpad.md (per-wallet claim limits are V2 and deliberately not mentioned). No live drops right now

New drops appear here the moment a creator launches one. Here's what to expect when the next one opens.

1

A storefront per drop

Every drop is its own storefront, set up by the creator: launch sales, promos, fan-only drops, or scheduled openings — each with its own inventory, price, and rules.

2

Requirements up front

Each token shows exactly what it takes to be first to own it — the claim price and any allowlist or holding requirement — before you commit. No surprises at checkout.

3

Countdown driven

Scheduled drops count down to open; ending drops count down to close. Claim while it's live — sold-out items stay visible but greyed, and recently ended drops move to the marketplace.

4

Claimed = yours

A successful claim delivers the token straight to your wallet, first-hand. From there it's yours to keep, burn, or list on the marketplace.

Coming soon · opens in 2d 06h→ Live · claim now→ Ending soon · ≤ 2h left→ Ended · find it on the marketplace One drop's journey across the Launchpad. Coming-soon and ending states always carry a live countdown; ended drops linger briefly in "Recently ended", then trade second-hand on the marketplace.
