Vendor buyback — states gallery.

Mock for vendor buyback — Phase 2, ships with the collectable-cards launch (rulings R82–R85, 2026-07-23), per Design Documentation/Phase2/vendor-buyback-design.md. A vendor may offer to buy a newly claimed token back from the purchaser within a window after the claim, on a dedicated buyback record (the shared offer system stays deferred past marketplace v1). Gated in Phase 2 by the RWA archetype; a Project Mastery unlock opens it to other projects later. Configured per vendor (buyback_margin_pct) — never part of a revenue preset.

01Vendor creation · buyback configurationVendor-level settings: on/off, the window (3 minutes – 1 week after each claim), and the margin (0–20%). The fee breakdown makes the guarantee visible: beneficiary costs and the Toko share of the original claim are always recovered first, so a buyback never costs the project money; the margin is the only creator-set variable (0% = buy back at cost).

Set at the vendor level — buyback is never part of a revenue preset. Each claim holds back only its own buyback amount; the rest settles immediately, and the hold releases when that claim's window ends.

02Not available · non-RWA collectionIn Phase 2 buyback is available to vendors of gated RWA collections only (R83). For other collections the vendor-creation flow shows the section as unavailable with a short pointer — no inline requirement lists. A Project Mastery unlock (Economy branch) opens it to other projects in a later release.
Buyback

Available for vaulted RWA collections in this release. Other projects will unlock it later through Project Mastery.

03Redeem flow · redemption cancels the offerBuyback and physical redemption are strictly either/or (R85). Requesting shipment cancels the buyback offer — shipping is never delayed by an open window — and an accepted buyback means the token is back with the vendor, so it can no longer be redeemed. The redeem confirmation says so plainly. (The old Go-Live no-end caution is gone: rolling per-claim escrow, R84, means funds only ever wait on their own window.)

Request shipment

Fern Keeper #018 will be packaged and shipped by the vault to your chosen address. Shipping is paid directly to the vault at checkout.

This cancels your buyback offer. Your open offer (1.50 ICP, 2d 14h left) ends the moment you request shipment — redeeming and selling back are either/or.

04Public vendor page · buyback termsCollectors see the terms before claiming: that a buyback is offered, the window, and whether it's at cost or at a margin (with the effective buyback price).

Buyback offer

Included

Change your mind after claiming? This vendor will buy your token back within 3 days of your claim, for 1.50 ICP (claim price 2.00 ICP, 10% margin). The offer appears in your wallet right after you claim. Redeeming the physical card cancels it.

05After the claim · the offer in the holder's walletThe holder sees a live offer with a countdown (a dedicated buyback record — it migrates onto the shared offer system when that ships). Accepting returns the token to the vendor's inventory for re-sale. The offer is voided if the holder transfers, lists, stacks/splits or redeems the token. For gacha-style vendors the same prompt appears right after the reveal.

Note (not UI) — exclusions & open items

Buyback is not offered on auctions (no fixed reference price) and not applicable to burn-to-claim. Open, non-blocking: the Mastery branch + Reputation threshold for the later non-RWA path; revenue templates stay strictly per-vendor. Backend (@gabriel): buyback_margin_pct rename, ledger-fee convention for reserve payouts, per-claim reserve accounting.
